differences amongst blog providers

topic posted Sat, January 22, 2005 - 12:28 AM by  jennifer
I'm looking for a blog provider so i can start. Ive heard good things about moveable type and thinkpad. I have tried blogger.com but I want to be able to customize it more (without have to get too involved with code). i would like something that is easy to set up but has the flexiblity to customize later if needed. i also like the idea of being able to limit access to choosen blog entries. what are the major difference between the providers and what do people recommend? (paid and unpaid.)
thanks!

I posted this in the other group where you asked as well, just in case you don't see it:

I started a new blog site a few weeks ago where members can join and have their own blogs. We provide 27 templates to start with and from there, you can customize any one of them or make your own template. I even have a members help area that provides you with codes to display everything from avatars to what to display on the page.

In a few weeks we will have the ability to upload photos and have them dispaly in an album.

Didn't mean to spam but you did ask for a suggestion!
